Step into the world of game art and discover how characters, environments, and stories come to life – one sketch at a time.

In this workshop, you’ll explore the creative process behind building game worlds from early concept art to character creation. Led by games course team from AUB, you’ll get hands-on with techniques used in the games industry to shape characters, build environments, and design compelling gaming experiences.

Whether you’re into storytelling, sketching, or just love world-building, this is your chance to see how games begin – on the page, in the studio, and in the mind of an artist.

  • 10.00–10.15: Welcome talk: The Art of Games
  • 10.15–12.00: Session One: Concept art and game world design – Create characters and environments with guidance from AUB staff, and learn the early steps of visual storytelling for games.
  • 12.00–12.45: Lunch
  • 12.45–13.45: Session Two: Game asset demo – Watch as a professional game artist brings a design to life using digital tools. Learn how concept art evolves into playable worlds.
  • 13.45–14.00: Games career advice and guidance.
