Overview

This course will run from September 2026.

BA (Hons) Ceramics is a new course that enables you to explore clay as a contemporary and expressive material, developing your own creative voice through experimental making and material-led design. You'll gain practical expertise in hand-building, mould-making, throwing and casting, alongside surface decoration, glazing, and kiln firing, equipping you with the technical skills needed to work professionally as ceramicists, designers, or makers.

You'll consider sustainability, identity, and craftsmanship, while also being introduced to entrepreneurial practice, digital design tools, and responsible uses of AI to support creative development.
