Summer Shows at Arts University Bournemouth
Every year, our campus transforms into the most extensive gallery in the southwest of England as we host our Summer Shows.
Thousands of visitors come to marvel at the creative work of our extraordinary students, from our Foundation Diploma, our undergraduate courses and our postgraduate programmes. The stellar work on display gives the public a unique glimpse inside the dream factory that is AUB.

Summer Show-time at AUB is one of the most energising and exciting experiences of our year. Join us throughout the summer months to be energised by the creative work of our fabulous students from all over the world, including those studying on our Foundation Diploma, our BA (Hons) programmes and postgraduate courses.
We open our doors and welcome students and their families, alumni and industry, and thousands of visitors to share the magic and be part of the dream factory that is AUB.

Each year, our Schools and Colleges Liaison team helps to deliver guided and self-guided tours for school groups (Years 7–13) interested in visiting our Summer Shows.

Our Summer Shows in action
London Shows
Around our on-campus Summer Shows, students graduating from a selection of our BA (Hons) courses also take their work to exhibitions and events in London throughout June, July and August, offering them the chance to gain industry contacts and recognition, awards and work placement opportunities.
BA (Hons) Fashion, BA (Hons) Fashion Communication, BA (Hons) Textiles Design
Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) is the largest showcase of undergraduate fashion in the world. With the most influential and inspiring UK and international universities and colleges on show, Graduate Fashion Week provides a fantastic opportunity to see the freshest talent from 26 different fashion disciplines, including our BA (Hons) Fashion, BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and BA (Hons) Textiles Design courses.
GFW attracts thousands of guests with a packed schedule of catwalk shows, university exhibitions, talks, masterclasses and workshops from leading names in the fashion and retail industry. It represents the future of creative design talent and showcases the work of over 3,500 of the very best fashion graduates each year.
The event attracts a wide array of top industry professionals, press and recruiters from UK and abroad who use this opportunity to discover talent, as well as offer exciting graduate employment and placements opportunities.
BA (Hons) Illustration, BA (Hons) Textiles Design
New Designers showcases the UK’s most innovative emerging art and design talent annually. Since its inception over 40 years ago, it's provided a platform for over 2,500 graduates every year to present their visionary ideas to industry professionals and the public. The event takes place over one week and features a diverse range of disciplines spanning fashion, textiles, furniture, product design, illustration and more.
For 2026, You'll find our BA (Hons) Illustration graduates in space G43 showcasing the breadth of work this course has to offer, including children’s books, animation, digital illustration, games concept, 3D design, printmaking and editorial.
Meanwhile, our talented BA (Hons) Textiles Design graduates will be at stand G9, showcasing innovative work for a range of fashion and interior applications. Discover an exciting mix of print, knit and embroidery alongside distinct illustrative styles through projects that celebrate colour, creativity and a passion for design.
BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Visual Communication
The annual D&AD New Blood Festival is a magnet for creative industry movers and shakers. BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Visual Communication will be there to take advantage of the networking, mentoring, internships, and employment opportunities. The event culminates in the New Blood Awards Ceremony, where winners of the New Blood Awards are honoured. D&AD judges award the coveted New Blood pencils for winning work across a range of set briefs, and numerous individual portfolio awards are made during the event.
BA (Hons) Modelmaking
New Blades is annual event organised by 4Dmodelshop and sponsored by a host of industry employers including Foster + Partners, Amalgam, M.A.D Models, Merlin Magic Making, Atom, and others. Hundreds of industry guests visit the show each year.
This year, graduating modelmakers from five universities across the UK will be exhibited in June, including our own BA (Hons) Modelmaking students. The exhibition and event acts as recruitment fair for modelmakers, it attracts industry heavyweights from sectors including entertainment, product development and architectural.
From 2026 onwards, fewer but more prestigious awards will be given for exceptional work that represents professional standards, including the 'New Blades Award' from panel of industry professionals and the ‘People's Choice Award’ will be voted for by visitors to the show over the day.

Emerge Collective 26 – BA (Hons) Commercial Photography
Emerge Collective 26 is BA (Hons) Commercial Photography's 2026 graduate showcase, hosted at Hoxton Arches, East London.
Bringing together work across fashion, documentary/editorial, and advertising photography, this exhibition presents a confident and diverse body of work united by strong visual communication, clear commercial intent and compelling narrative. Each project reflects the course's professional focus and its industry-ready graduates.
The show attracts a broad network of creative professionals including photo reps, art directors, picture editors, producers, and alumni making it a dynamic meeting point between education and industry.
Undisclosed Collective – BA (Hons) Photography
Undisclosed Collective is BA (Hons) Photography's 2026 graduate showcase, taking place at Copeland Gallery in the heart of Peckham's creative quarter.
The exhibition brings together a bold and diverse range of work, reflecting a shared commitment to critical enquiry, experimentation and expanded forms of photographic practice.
The private view on Thursday evening welcomes everyone to explore the work and connect with the artists, with drinks available from Social, the independent bar located adjacent to the gallery.
