Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is a single campus University based in Poole, Dorset.
We've put together a handy guide with directions on how to find us, including what buses to take and our nearest train station if you're taking public transport. Bournemouth and Poole are well-connected with cycle lanes and Beryl Bikes, too.

How to get here?
From the East and North
- Take A338 (known as the Wessex Way)
- Exit at Richmond Hill Roundabout (next to Vitality Life)
- Take third exit along Wimborne Road
- At four-way junction with traffic lights, turn left towards Winton
- Continue over next three roundabouts
- At fourth roundabout take first left into Fern Barrow
- Continue over mini roundabout
- Take first left into the AUB campus
From the West
- Approach Poole on A35
- Follow signs for Bournemouth (A3049)
- Take dual carriageway past Tower Park (Dorset Way)
- The Wallisdown Campus is on the A3049 (Wallisdown Road)
By rail
Bournemouth Train Station is served by a fast inter-city rail link from London Waterloo. There are also regular trains from Poole, Southampton and other major cities. You can purchase tickets at the station or via South Western Railway or Trainline. The Wallisdown Campus is about 1.5 miles from the train station and a 5-10 minute journey by taxi.
By bus or coach
Bournemouth is well-connected by coach. It takes about 2.5 hours to get here from London. The Bournemouth Train and Coach Stations (known as the Travel Interchange) are next to the railway station.
The Morebus services 17, 6, and 36 will take you from Bournemouth Train/Coach Station (Travel Interchange) to the University campus. The journey will last around 10–15 minutes.
The Unibus U1 will take you to campus from Holdenhurst Road.
By taxi
A taxi takes about 5-10 minutes.

Helpful links
Parking on the AUB Campus is limited to permit holders only. This is to encourage those coming to campus to use more sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transport as we work towards our net zero goals.
Please note that parking permits are not available to students, but Blue Badge holders may use our car park.

Visitor parking
AUB staff members can book parking for visitors by emailing hello@aub.ac.uk or call 01202 533011. All visitor parking must be booked by 12.00 the day before.
TheGallery, MoDip and events parking
Parking on campus is available for people who are visiting TheGallery and MoDiP, as well as campus-based events such as our Summer Shows, Open Days and Campus Tours. Pre-booking isn't required.
You’ll be welcomed onto campus by our team or directed to an alternative, nearby car park. If you have any special requirements or require a blue badge space, please let us know by emailing opendays@aub.ac.uk.
Interview, audition and applicant days parking
Parking on campus is available for interview, auditions and applicant days. You'll be pre-booked a space by your AUB contact. Please inform Security on arrival that you're in attendance for an interview, audition or applicant day and they'll issue you a permit for that day.
If the applicant isn't the driver, you can still park on campus, providing a space has been pre-booked. You’re welcome to stay and enjoy our facilities. Alternatively, you can follow the signs to the town centre, where there are plenty of places to eat, drink and visit.

There are nearer parking options in Winton, some within walking distance and others on bus routes. Winton parking is on a smaller scale and often involving a more complex route to campus.
