Key dates

While you're waiting for Clearing to open, take note of some upcoming important dates below:

  • 6 May | Decline by Default deadline – if you received all your chosen universities' decisions by 31 March, you must reply by 6 May, or your application(s) will be declined by default. This doesn't include UCAS Extra choices.
  • 3 June | Decline by Default deadline – if you received all your chosen universities' decisions by 13 May, you must reply by 3 June, or your application(s) will be declined by default. This doesn't include UCAS Extra choices.
  • 30 June (18.00 BST) | Final date to submit UCAS applications, before automatic entry into Clearing
  • 1 July | Last day to add UCAS Extra choice
  • 2 July | Clearing 2026 opens
  • 22 July | Decline by Default deadline – if you received all your chosen universities' decisions by 15 July, you must reply by 22 July, or your application(s) will be declined by default. This includes UCAS Extra choices.
