AUB and the Community

AUB and the Community

AUB Campus is home to an award-winning and internationally recognised gallery, established in 1998; as well as our state-of-the-art Innovation Studio. We also have the largest creative arts specialist library outside London, which houses the Museum of Design in Plastics (MoDiP), awarded Designated Outstanding Collection status by Arts Council England in 2023. In addition, we acquired the Palace Court Theatre, one of the last remaining Art Deco theatres in Bournemouth, situated in town centre.

The University also has several bespoke art collections and sculptures on display across campus. This includes AUB's own art collection, plus work on loan from the John and Barbara Weeks Private Collection, and sculptures by Tim Harrison Studio and Tony Cragg. We also have buildings designed by renowned architect and AUB alumnus Professor Sir Peter Cook RA, such as our Drawing Studio.
