Creative Arts Summer School (13-15)

This exciting hands-on 2-week course is perfect for students aged 13-15 years old with a passion for art, design, and media who wish to develop their artistic talents.

About this course

This course gives you the opportunity to develop confidence in your artistic abilities, improve your drawing and observational skills, as well as explore new creative technologies and techniques. You’ll also experiment with a range of different mediums and explore multiple disciplines as you develop your understanding of creative processes.

What’s more, if you’re currently studying the IB or similar qualification, your final assessment report can be used to gain credits.

Over two weeks you’ll receive expert creative teaching combined with practical sessions on campus in our industry-standard studios. Plus, you’ll also spend time off-campus in the local area for inspiration.

You’ll undertake a series of themed, multi-disciplinary projects that will give you a greater understanding of the connections between creative arts and other subjects, as well as develop vital life skills like problem solving and teamwork.

All projects will contribute to your creative portfolio and will also be exhibited in an end of course show. At your exhibition key concepts and skills will be recapped in group discussions and individual feedback.

If you’re currently studying the IB or similar qualification, your final assessment report can be used to gain credits. What’s more, you’ll be awarded an AUB Certificate of Attendance at your graduation ceremony.

Your course tutors will offer guidance and support you with your creative applications, as well as feedback on your artwork and offer advice for your future creative studies.

All students with 100% course attendance will be issued with an official Summer Course Certificate detailing course contents and study hours.

If you wish to include accommodation and/or a taxi transfer from the airport in your Summer Course booking, simply select the residential option when you book your place.

All course materials and resources are included in the course fee including your sketchbook and portfolio folder. Also included is all your transport and admission costs for course trips.

You’ll receive 60 hours of teaching in AUB’s state-of-the-art industry-standard art and design studios and digital suites, with access to our library and online resources.

Also, you’ll leave the course with a physical A3 art portfolio and digital portfolio containing your work for interview submission or future development.
