Exhibition overview
AUB Students’ Union (AUBSU), in partnership with TheGallery and AUB International, present AUB International Collective. This is a unique collaboration that embraces artwork created by students with different cultural and religious backgrounds.
This show demonstrates the range of skills and specialisms of international students currently studying at Arts University Bournemouth, specifically those on a student visa. International students have been invited to submit work across a whole range of disciplines with the final exhibition, including pieces from ongoing projects, past work and new creations.

Partnerships and collaborations at Arts University Bournemouth
AUBSU's BUG galleries provide a dedicated multi-media platform for showcasing AUB’s student and alumni talent.
The BUG comprises of three spaces dedicated to giving students and recent graduates the chance to host and curate their own exhibitions. Through The BUG, students have been able engage with and represent the creative community on campus.
If you're interested in booking out a BUG space, please email thebug@aub.ac.uk.
With such a diverse body of students and staff, our creative community thrives upon innovative thinking and global-minded individuals. In 2025, our international student community consists of over 700 students, and we have staff and students from over 60 different countries. Just in our International department, the team is made up of people from eight different countries and they can speak over 10 different languages between them!
We're deeply proud of our international community and we work to ensure they feel welcomed, at home and that they’re celebrated.
TheGallery is an award-winning and internationally recognised space and provides a wide- reaching public platform for the arts within the sub-region. Promoting the University’s shared passion for excellence in education, industry and the sector, TheGallery provides a means by which AUB can enact its values: Innovative, Collaborative, Connected and Passionate.
Throughout the year, TheGallery works on a variety of exhibitions, events and projects with AUB stakeholders across the University to create opportunities for students and staff to showcase their areas, courses, practices and work.
AUB International Collective Exhibition is an example of one of these collaborative projects, this time with AUBSU and AUB International, where TheGallery team leads on curating and exhibition design with its AUB project partners.
The work of TheGallery embodies the University’s promise to promote civic and cultural engagement for positive impact and our commitment to ensuring that education and the arts are accessible to all, for those here at AUB and beyond.
We're proud of our alumni and rightfully so. Many of them have gone on to do incredible things!
AUB’s alumni community, AUB&, is a continuation of our campus — a home and a network for all of our wonderful graduates, a place to find out what everyone’s been up to and generally stay a part of our creative community.
It’s open to all students who graduated from the University, whether under AUB or any of its previous titles (Arts University College Bournemouth, Arts Institute at Bournemouth, and Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design).

International events at AUB
By becoming part of our International Community you’ll gain so much more than just a creative degree. You’ll gain friends, experiences and knowledge from across the world.
To make you feel as at home (away from home) as possible, we run events throughout the year bringing students together to feel supported, to make new friends and to learn about new cultures. These events include Lunar New Year, Norwuz, Holi and more! We ask our students what they want to celebrate on campus, and do our best to make it happen by working with you, and AUBSU.
Festivals we're celebrating this year include:
Holi
Each year, AUB brings the vibrant celebration of Holi, the Indian Festival of Colours, to life on campus!
