Ethical frontiers in digital fashion – AI, avatars, and representation

As AI-generated avatars and digital models reshape the fashion landscape, critical ethical challenges arise around authenticity, diversity, and representation. This panel, hosted by TheGallery, as part of the Design; Disruption; Divergence exhibition brings together industry pioneers and academic experts to explore the implications of virtual identities in fashion.

Featuring Cameron-James Wilson, founder of The Diigitals and creator of Shudu, alongside leading ethics researcher Sharon D. Lloyd, the discussion delves into real-world industry applications and research-driven insights. Together, they examine the intersection of AI, fashion, and ethics, addressing issues of inclusion, ownership, and responsible creative technology.

Attendees will gain valuable perspectives on shaping a more ethical and inclusive digital fashion landscape, setting the stage for a new framework in digital representation for both industry and education.
