This cutting-edge and futuristic course will introduce artists to the world of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can be harnessed to enhance creative work.

Who's this course for?

This course has been developed for curious artists aged 12-15 looking to embrace creative technology.

Young artists will be introduced to the boundless possibilities that modern technology offers the creative artist.

Does my young artist need any qualifications or experience?

No experience is necessary; your young artist doesn't need any previous experience, just buckets of enthusiasm and a desire to develop their skills!

What's included in this price?

  • All course materials and resources.
  • Everything your young artist will need to take part in the course will be provided by us – no hidden costs!

  • Classes are practical, so wear clothes that you don't mind your young artists getting messy.
  • Drinks and snacks for break time and duration of class; please ensure snacks don't contain nuts.
  • It's strongly advised phones, tablets and other valuables aren't brought to class. Any personal possessions are the responsibility of your young artist and AUB won't be liable for any loss or damage.

About this course

This course will empower young artists to incorporate Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their creative processes while exploring different aspects of generative workflows used by leading industry experts and brands.

Whether your young artist is interested in gaming, digital art, 3D modelling, or future technology (painting, sketching, photography, graphic design, or illustration), this exciting new course will expand their understanding and allow them to experiment in the creative possibilities using exciting new technologies.

Through a combination of projects, your young artist will gain a solid foundation in understanding the design technology of the future and the potential as tools for creative artistic expression.

By the end of this course, your young artist will have developed practical skills to apply generative skills and produce unique artworks that blends human creativity with artificial intelligence.

This course aims to empower young creative artists to embrace the possibilities offered by top brands and contribute to the exciting and evolving field of emerging technologies driven creativity.

Your young artist will be expertly guided every step of the way by Ekaterina Savosina, a Gravity Sketch Certified Instructor and owner of Design in VR. Ekaterina possesses a wealth of real-world expertise from her work with industry leaders like Adidas, Fila, and New Balance. Under her guidance, young artists will develop the technical mastery and forward-thinking mindset to thrive as a trailblazer in the competitive design industry.

  • An introduction to VR, AR and AI creative tools.
  • How VR, AR and AI can be used in various art forms.
  • Core principles behind thinking in 3D, utilising AI and implementing AR.
  • How to use open-source digital creative tools.
  • The potential of generative digital design in creating art.
  • Interactive and immersive art digital creative workflows.
  • Digital design tools and software platforms for artists.
  • The impact of digital design transformation on society, privacy, and responsible use in creative arts.
  • Presenting and discussing the completed projects in VR and on 2D Screen.

At the end of the course your young artist will:

  • Possess improved artistic skills.
  • Understand the fundamental concepts of emerging technologies and its applications in the field of creative arts.
  • Be able to use a range of different platforms to create using VR, AR and AI.
  • Possess the skills to experiment with digital environments/tool/3D forms-generated content.
  • Have increased confidence in their own skills.
  • Have boosted creativity and imagination.
  • Feel inspired by the new skills they've learnt and from sharing ideas with new friends.
  • Have the foundations to continue creating beyond this course.
  • You can request a certificate to confirm your young artist's achievements, providing they have a 100% attendance record. To request a certificate please get in touch with us at academy@aub.ac.uk and confirm name of your young artist and the title of course they've completed.
