Who's this course for?

This course has been developed for budding digital artists aged 11-14.

Does my young artist need any qualifications or experience?

No. This is an introductory course, so your young artist doesn't need any previous experience using Adobe Photoshop, just buckets of enthusiasm for all things digital and a willingness to develop skills.

  • Everything your young artist will need to take part in the course will be provided by us – no hidden costs!

  • Classes are practical, so wear clothes that you don't mind your young artists getting messy
  • Drinks and snacks for break time and duration of class; please ensure snacks do not contain nuts
  • It's strongly advised phones, tablets and other valuables are not brought to class. Any personal possessions are the responsibility of your young artist and AUB will not be liable for any loss or damage

About this course

This brand-new course has been specially developed for young aspiring digital artists aged 11-14 years to unleash their creative expression and learn how to generate unique and distinctive images through the digital medium of Adobe Photoshop.

This course is ideal for young artists who wish to explore future creative options and trends, and those considering future studies incorporating digital imaging and post-production methods.

On this fun, inspiring, and imaginative course, your young artist will be introduced to essential editing skills and techniques using a wide variety of digital Photoshop tools. This'll allow them to edit and create their own individual digital art and also develop their unique visual voice along the way. They'll explore AI in Photoshop and how it can offer a revolutionary way of working.

Your young artist will be taught in one of our specialist digital design suites using the latest generation of Apple computers that's equipped with the most up to-date version of Adobe Photoshop software.

They'll learn the fundamental knowledge and skills essential for generating digital art through a series of exciting and stimulating projects designed to both challenge and provide them every opportunity to flourish as young creatives.

Through a series of stimulating interlinked talks, demonstrations, and fun hands-on mini-projects, they'll be encouraged to develop ideas, think creatively, and build their very own collection of digital art that demonstrates essential art elements with flair and imagination.

Eleni Dimitriou is a Graphic Designer based in Bournemouth. She has studied Graphic Arts at UWCN and she has a MA in Interactive Media.
