None – this is an introductory course. We have no formal academic entry requirements for our short courses.

However, it’s beneficial if you have a basic understanding of how to use social media – either for personal or professional use. This course focuses more on using social media for business rather than about social media channels themselves.

• Understanding the potential of social media
• Creating and curating concise relevant content
• Understanding and building online reach
• Time management and content planning
• Paid and targeted adverts; when, how, and if to use them
• Data storage
• Social media on the go using smartphones
• Google Forms for data collecting, surveying, evaluating, and online shop
• Content refining
• Working to a brief; a group exercise relating to social strategy

At the end of the course you'll:

• Be able to create your own concise and relevant social media content and publish it with confidence.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of a range of different social media platforms and how best to use them for your business.

Will I be assessed?

No, there's no formal assessment. As the course progresses your tutor will measure your overall performance and offer essential guidance and feedback, so you know how you're getting on.
