This introductory course has been developed to provide you with knowledge and skills necessary to plan, execute and monitor effective digital marketing campaigns.

Course information
On this course, you’ll be taught how to use digital tools to achieve your goals of getting your business seen in searches and moving up the rankings.
Whether you’ve experience in marketing or looking to build up your skills, you'll learn the latest digital marketing techniques that have been tried and tested, as well as new, emerging approaches.
Your tutor will encourage and build your confidence in using a variety of different channels, all of which you may choose to incorporate into your marketing strategy. Throughout the course, you'll develop skills and ideas to achieve your digital marketing goals and see the success come to life.
- Brand foundations and analysing competitors
- Search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Content marketing, blogging and social
- Email marketing
- Paid advertising and PPC (Google ads/social)
- Website planning
- Introduction to user experience (UX)
- Data and analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar and more)
- Inbound marketing and CRM management
- Creating an end-to-end marketing strategy in a group which aligns with the brief supplied
At the end of the course you'll:
- Be equipped with the marketing fundamentals so you can confidently tackle your topic of interest and apply best practice principles
- Gain the confidence, with support from your tutor, to build a version of the material you've covered in each session.
- Have a complete series of tasks that represent a digital marketing campaign structure, created entirely by yourself
You can request a certificate to confirm your achievements, providing you've a 100% attendance record. To request a certificate please get in touch with us at academy@aub.ac.uk and confirm your name and the title of course you've completed.
Will I be assessed?
No, there’s no formal assessment. As the course progresses your tutor will measure your overall performance and offer essential guidance and feedback so you know how you're getting on.

Wednesday 7 October – 9 December 2026 (10 Wednesday evenings, 18.00–21.00)
Spring term 2027
Wednesday 13 January – 17 March 2027 (10 Wednesday evenings, 18.00–21.00)
Age
Suitable for adults aged 18+.
Level
Beginners or anyone with some experience who want to refresh or develop their skills further.
Experience or qualifications required
None – this is an introductory course. We have no formal academic entry requirements for our short courses.
