Our Campus

Environment and the curriculum

This is AUB. A place to shape and build your work; to learn, share, provoke and collaborate.

Environment and the curriculum

We're a creative community that is committed to and shares a passion for the disciplines of art, design, media and performance.

Ensuring learners are informed of and responsible for their actions and consequences within the three pillars of sustainable development (social, environmental, and economical) is key to the success of an environmentally sustainable, ethical, and caring campus. Furthermore, the Sustainable Development Goals are threaded through course content and outcomes. We hope for in consequence, a graduate community that changes the industries they migrate to for good.

Owen Blue – Being, Polluted

How do we visualise microplastics in the human body? Being, Polluted is a Guerrilla awareness campaign that sees large digital screens invading public spaces, which reflect their surrounding environments, visualising the prevalence of microplastic pollution – not just in the world around us, but also in ourselves as individuals. The aim of this project is to shock people into being aware of the issue and rethinking how they perceive plastic consumption.

Project creator Owen Blue graduated from AUB in 2023, studying BA (Hons) Graphic Design.
