Become an AUB Ambassador
In this active and unique role, you’ll create content for our most popular social platforms like Instagram and TikTok across a wide range of topics and styles. Our Casual Content Creators make informative, entertaining and strategic clips that both reflect student life at Arts University Bournemouth as well as current video trends.
By becoming a Casual Content Creator at AUB, you'll join our enthusiastic team, learn valuable marketing and content skills, and take on paid work around your studies.
Students on Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses can apply to become AUB Casual Content Creators.
As a Casual Content Creator, you'll bring your experiences as an AUB student to life by producing a range of content, to be released on the University's social media channels – in particular, our TikTok and Instagram accounts. You'll work closely with members of the Digital Marketing team to show off all aspects of AUB life for future students, demonstrating your storytelling skills and knowledge of AUB, Bournemouth and beyond.
For AUB Casual Content Creators, we’re looking for students who can show, and want to develop, the following skills:
If your application is successfully shortlisted, you'll be invited to an interview. You'll be asked to bring a short example of the type of content you want to see/create for our channels.
Please note, all training will be paid.
HR will email you onboarding documents to complete, sign and return and they'll need to complete a Right to Work in the UK check. Once finalised, you'll receive a contract with further details of your employment.
It’s important you complete the onboarding documents sent to you in a timely manner.

If you are an international Course Ambassador, please be aware that your working hours are restricted by UK Border Agency Rules. As an international student, you are not permitted to work in excess of 20 hours per week during term time.
It is your personal responsibility to ensure you adhere to this regulation and maximum set number of 20 hours whilst employed as a Student Ambassador for AUB.
You must not accept work that takes you over this limit. Therefore, it is important you keep track of your hours worked.
There is no minimum requirement of hours you need to work per week, you can apply for jobs around your timetable and study commitments. The SA scheme is designed to be flexible, to allow you to work more when you’re perhaps quieter or have finished a hand-in and less at those times when you may have lots of projects to complete.
