Meet our Industry Patron – Amy Backwell

Meet the Industry Patron for MA Animation Production – Amy Backwell, artist, inclusion champion, and Emerging Talent Specialist at Industrial Light & Magic.

Amy is a board member for various organisations active in VFX, animation and games. In 2023, she co-directed and curated the LIMITLESS exhibition with Animated Women UK, which celebrated the independent work of women in the animation and VFX sector.

She has a proven passion for Diversity and Inclusion, and is proud to be part of multiple D&I groups including those championing women, LGBTQ+, neurodiversity and disabilities and faith.
