Arrival and your first week
Welcome to BA Film Production at Arts University Bournemouth where we look forward to spending time working with and supporting you as you make great leaps forward in your learning and understanding of the creative sphere!
Starting at AUB
This year we’ve designed for you a blended learning Film Production experience. Due to Health and Safety protocols under the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of the learning and teaching in first year will be provided online and planned as such in accordance with our guiding principles for academic delivery. This allows us to protect, as much as possible, the essential practical exercises and hands-on workshops that will be conducted on campus under strict Social Distance Filmmaking protocols.
Online teaching will include lectures and tutorials, project meetings and discussions, as well as certain specialist workshops. On campus teaching will include inductions on equipment, essential studio training, and exercises involving collaborations between light, camera, sound, and production design.
Our teaching environment prioritises the safety of staff and students, and we will all be following strict protocols at all times. We ask you to arrive with this in mind, and to always look after yourselves and your peers while at AUB.
Induction and your Timetable
You will be emailed soon to enrol onto the course. It is important that you enrol by Monday 28 September so that we can set up your timetable.
Once you have enrolled you will be able to set up your student login to access your email account and more information via the myAUB portal.
If you enrol before the 28 September then your timetable will be available through myAUB by Wednesday 7 October. This will let you know when and where to arrive on campus in the first week and the timings and how to access any remote learning sessions.
