Course information

Guided by an experienced tutor, students explore how to craft memorable characters, captivating narratives, and experiment with a variety of genres and styles. They learn practical techniques for setting vivid scenes, how to develop compelling dialogue, and how to make their writing more engaging, all while building confidence in their ideas and their voice.

We ensure that each young writer receives the consideration that their work deserves; the course tutor builds on the broad curriculum by tailoring workshops and recommendations to the needs and interests of students. Whether their words are exciting or emotional, spoken aloud in poetry slams or written down in epic trilogies, they can find a space to be heard and understood throughout our sessions.

The course balances individual work with opportunities for collaboration, encouraging your young writers to give and receive feedback and watch their work grow into exciting, polished creations they can be proud of. Whether a student dreams of writing the next great novel, a Hollywood or Broadway blockbuster, powerful verse, or simply improving their storytelling for school, this course provides a creative space to explore, experiment and develop essential writing skills.

Designed for all experience levels, this course requires only curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm. By the end of the course, your young creatives will not only have stronger writing skills, but also greater confidence and a new community of practice to share work with as they take steps into the wider world of writing.
