The course gives you an insight into the world of animation, focusing on hand-drawn animation with the chance to do cutout and stop motion.

Course Details

This fresh out of the box course has been specifically developed for young animators, and those taking their first steps in the world of animation. The course is aimed at students aged 12-15 years, to help them harness their creativity, artistic knowledge, and gain confidence in creating and sharing their work.

Each week students will learn new skills using industry standard equipment and techniques that are vital in the world of animation. Students do not need any previous experience to enrol on this course as it is aimed at both the complete beginner and those with some previous experience. All we ask is that students come with enthusiasm and passion for animation!

We understand how important young creative artists are and we want to help them harness their creative ability and enthusiasm. Students will have support and guidance from their dedicated course tutor and assistant to fully explore their creative talent and future potential.

At AUB we develop our students’ natural style and flair, enabling them to utilise existing creative interests and acquire new skills in the development of their own unique visual voice. Meet your tutor

Hi there! I’m Lucy, an AUB Alumni who has been working in Animation for the past three years. I’ve worked on projects such as ‘How to Train your Dragon: Homecoming’ and I am currently working on the new 2D animated Netflix series, ‘Deadendia’.

I adore everything to do with animation, but especially how fun it is to learn! There are no limits to what you can make.

My work is built on a strong foundation of animation skills I learned at AUB, and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with young, passionate artists ready to take their first steps into animation!
