Animation

The course gives you an insight into the world of animation, focusing on hand-drawn animation with the chance to do cutout and stop motion.

Course Details

This course is for potential animators in School Years 8-11 (or equivalent if home-schooled) who want to have fun, see their characters come to life and explore how cartoons are made.

You will look at storyboarding and character design and there will be opportunities to learn about movement and timing. Industry-standard equipment will be available for Animators to try out the key principles of animation. The only limit is your imagination.

Students will be working in our amazing studio spaces that have been home to our award-winning graduates, using tools and equipment that the creative industries rely on and become a part of our creative community.

Your creative journey with AUB doesn't have to stop at Saturday Art School either; we offer a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design as well as a range of creative degree courses - and you'll already know your way around campus.

Fees

This course costs £160 for an eight-week term.

We do offer reduced fees to parents or guardians who receive specific income-related benefits or are in receipt of free school meals for their child (and have an official document showing this).

You will need to contact us prior to enrolling online for more information on the qualifying benefits for a reduced fee place. If you qualify, you will still have to complete the online enrolment form but payment will be taken over the telephone.
