Who's this course for?

This course has been developed for aspiring artists aged 10–12.

Please note: we can't accept young artists under 10 years-old on this course.

Does my young artist need any qualifications or experience?

No. This is an introductory course, so your young artist doesn't need any previous experience, just buckets of enthusiasm!

What's included in this price?

  • All course materials and resources
  • Lunch, served in the Refectory at AUB
  • Everything your young artist will need to take part in the course will be provided by us – no hidden costs!

Classes are practical, so wear clothes that you don't mind your young artists getting messy.

Lunch is included in the course fee; however, you may wish to provide additional drinks and snacks for break time and duration of class. Please ensure snacks don't contain nuts.

It's strongly advised that mobile phones, tablets and other valuables aren't brought to class. Any personal possessions are the responsibility of your young artist and AUB won't be liable for any loss or damage

About this course

In this dynamic course, students will discover how to create vibrant digital artworks and bring their stories to life through animation. Using accessible and user-friendly software, children will learn to design characters, craft short animated scenes and explore storytelling techniques, all while developing confidence in both their artistic and digital skills.

Combining visual art, storytelling, and animation, this course offers a unique opportunity for children aged 10-12 to explore the exciting world of digital media. With practical exercises and creative projects, they'll produce their own animated short stories, culminating in a digital showcase to share with friends and family.

Participants will have produced their own mini digital animation, featuring characters and scenes they’ve designed.

They’ll gain confidence in digital art and storytelling, and will showcase their work in a digital presentation that highlights their creativity and newfound skills.
