Course information

This course introduces you to the exciting possibilities of digital design and virtual reality. Over 10 evenings, you'll learn to transform sketches and ideas into engaging 3D spaces you can explore and present in virtual environments, regardless of your prior experience.

Starting from the basics, you'll develop skills in visualising and planning interior spaces using user-friendly digital tools. Guided step by step, you'll learn how to design, develop, and showcase your projects, from initial concept to virtual walkthrough. No previous experience with 3D modelling or virtual reality is necessary, just a curiosity and passion for design.

This course is ideal for those creatives working in all the fields of design, including visual merchandisers, event organisers, and anyone interested in the future of spatial design and visualisation technology. Explore how AI-powered tools and virtual reality can revolutionise how you showcase your ideas and communicate spaces to clients or audiences.

Guided by Ekaterina Savosina, an experienced tutor and immersive design professional, you'll explore how to transform a brief into a large-scale digital experience and experiment with different virtual reality and AI-driven workflows. From conceptualising in 3D on 1:1 scale to developing compelling brand narratives and immersive experiences, you'll learn practical techniques that will enable you to rapidly produce engaging and interactive spatial visualisations.

This course is about creative agility and discovering the power of rapid design visualisation building confidence in your ideas and learning how to share your concepts with others.

In addition to individual work, you'll have opportunities to work together, give and receive feedback, and see your ideas evolve into exciting immersive realities. Whether you dream of designing the next major concert stage, brand activation or display installation, or want to improve your 3D modelling and visualisation workflow or just push the boundaries of spatial technology – then this course is your creative space to explore, experiment, and develop your skills.

Will I be assessed?

No, there's no formal assessment. As the course progresses your tutor will measure your overall performance and offer essential guidance and feedback, so you know how you're getting on.

Suitable for adults aged 18+.

Level

Beginners or anyone with some experience who want to refresh or develop their skills further.

Experience or qualifications required

No prior experience in 3D modelling or VR is needed. Ideal for those students aged 18 and above. Just bring your curiosity and a love of design.
