Course information

A perfect starter course for those new to machine sewing craftsmanship!

Perhaps you own a sewing machine but have never quite felt comfortable using it, or maybe you have some basic experience and want to strengthen your technical understanding.

This course is designed to help you feel confident, capable and in control of your sewing machine, giving you a solid foundation to support future creative projects.

Through practical, tutor-led demonstrations and guided workshops, you’ll learn how to set up and operate a domestic sewing machine safely and effectively. You’ll explore the essential functions of your machine, understand how different stitches work, and practise key techniques that will allow you to sew with greater accuracy and confidence.
