Over the last three years, I have had the chance to explore many different areas of dance, but I found I really enjoyed the ‘dance practitioner’ unit, which gave me the opportunity to teach at two different secondary schools. My experiences there led me to my final project! I knew I wanted to teach, so I decided I would expand my skill base by teaching street dance workshops at a private dance school as well as teaching open classes at AUB, aimed at people who have never tried urban styles before.

After I graduate, I would like to explore teaching in private dance schools, working with a variety of age ranges, from young children to teenagers, offering a range of styles. I particularly enjoy teaching these ages as you can see the excitement and joy that they get from dancing and learning new skills. I still want to continue taking dance classes within the community, developing my own unique movement style and hopefully still have chances to perform in the future.
