My creative process focuses on thinking through making and 3D experimentation to solve problems, combining technical and creative elements. This allows me to work with unconventional materials and look at all projects with a fresh perspective and approach. I am also interested in the relationship between craft and the creation of new ideas, combining traditional techniques and heritage research with forward-thinking design and technologies. Technology and digital skills are an increasingly important part of the fashion industry, helping to increase sustainability. However, within the current social climate, people are also desperate to connect with the "real world" and things that feel authentic.

Returning Home, my Final Major Project, was inspired by my family, combining my French history and the story of my great grandparents with all the different pottery around my home. I wanted to use this idea of a pot to show a healing process after coming home from the war, using the idea of a hard ceramic material to represent a mental and physical armour, breaking down and peeling off over time. My great grandad returned home to his family's champagne fields after being a Free French pilot/bomber in World War II. I really wanted to create a full collection that takes inspiration from the champagne vineyards and grapes, and their sharp contrast with the war.

This contrast of worlds also led me to ideas of escapism. With environmental and economic uncertainty increasing worldwide, more and more people are looking for an escape. This allowed the concept for this project to branch into themes of trying to forget our world through fashion – being "in your own bubble."

After completing my degree, I plan to continue developing my knowledge and expertise within the fashion and jewellery industries. Through my dissertation, which explores why consumers choose to pay for a brand over quality, particularly within the jewellery market, I have developed a strong interest in the heritage, craftsmanship and psychology behind luxury products.

Alongside this, I am also interested in pursuing opportunities within curation and fashion archives. I am fascinated by how archives support creative directors and museums in maintaining a brand's heritage while adapting it for modern consumers. Throughout my degree, I have particularly enjoyed researching the history and context behind garments/brands and understanding how archival research can inform contemporary design (including projects such as reinterpreting an iconic designer jacket for a modern audience, for which I was a finalist in the SVP Fashion Designer of the Year 2025 Awards).
