Specialising as a Costume Supervisor in my final year of BA (Hons) Costume evolved from my love of styling.
While working as an Assistant Supervisor, I took on two making projects for this production, fulfilling two types of roles. I continued refining my making skills working on AUB production Jekyll and Hyde. My made garment consisted of a hospital gown and a petticoat, following a mix of Victorian and contemporary styles.
Orpheus and Eurydice was the first production of final year that I worked on as Joint Supervisor. This show was a completely sourced production, which allowed me to work on breakdown techniques into modern garments and source sustainably.
AUB Productions' Grimm Tales was part of my Final Major Project as Assistant Costume Supervisor. Working with the team as professionals was key to pulling together the show, with 60 made and sourced costumes. This project enriched my knowledge and skills of sourcing and buying for a show with a large amount of costume quick changes.
Enhancing my professional practice, I have worked collaboratively as a stylist for multiple, smaller projects, incorporating historical costume into photoshoots.
