Now in its firth year, the All Access AUB programme welcomed a group of Year 12 students over the summer to give them a taste of what it's like to be a student and study a creative course at AUB. Students took part in a diverse range of workshops where they were encouraged by AUB tutors to explore and experiment with different mediums to develop their skills and portfolio of work.
The All Access AUB exhibition showcases this explorative and experimental work, highlighting and celebrating their creative talents and curious minds.
All Access AUB
All those with the potential to benefit from higher education, no matter their background, deserve the opportunity to do so. At AUB, we're committed to making that happen, which is why All Access AUB was developed. All Access AUB is a unique and intensive programme of activity for post-16 students from underrepresented groups. It's specifically designed to support entry to creative higher education and students enrolled on the scheme take part in a summer residential, have their work included in an industry-standard exhibition, receive one-to-one portfolio support from AUB tutors, and attend a Transition to Creative Higher Education event. The exhibition is a chance to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of the young people so far.
TheGallery and AUB
TheGallery works with courses and departments right across the university on a variety of exhibitions, events and projects. All Access AUB Exhibition 2024: is another example of a collaborative project – this time with the AUB's Access and Participation team.
TheGallery provides advice and support for the curatorial and technical aspects of the exhibition. We build, stage and get their exhibition ready. We also provide advice and guidance on event and project management as well as providing a national and international public platform for the arts within the sub-region while promoting the University’s shared passion for excellence in education, industry and the sector. A Civic University for all here within the AUB and beyond.
