Arrival and your first week
Welcome to BA Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth where we look forward to spending time working with and supporting you as you make great leaps forward in your learning and understanding of the creative sphere!
Starting at AUB
Congratulations and welcome to our BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Arts University Bournemouth – you have joined a vibrant community, with a dynamic creative vibe, and remember you have done incredibly well to get through to here.
Please be prepared to engage and work hard with a passion for pushing boundaries and embracing all aspects of design. You can expect an exciting, challenging and satisfying personal and academic journey of discovery.
In 2020/21 you will be learning through a blend of personal face to face, on campus workshops and high quality online lectures, seminars and tutorials. As you would expect we have planned an exciting programme of learning opportunities for you, the detailed schedule will be available at ‘Exploring Graphic Design’ the first unit launch on October 19th.
More details on your first term are available on your Course Blog available via myAUB after you have enrolled.
You need to demonstrate a very responsible and professional approach to your work; high levels of attendance, good organisation and commitment to meeting deadlines are all vital. The recommended working hours for the course, including independent study, are 37 hours per week and your timetabled sessions will run throughout the week. We strongly recommend that you do not undertake more than 16 hours of part-time work per week, which you would need to fit around your studies.
We look forward to meeting you in person on campus very soon and in the meantime, if you have any questions please get in touch.
Induction and your Timetable
You will be emailed soon to enrol onto the course. It is important that you enrol by Monday 28 September so that we can set up your timetable.
Once you have enrolled you will be able to set up your student login to access your email account and more information via the myAUB portal.
If you enrol before the 28 September then your timetable will be available through myAUB by Wednesday 7 October. This will let you know when and where to arrive on campus in the first week and the timings and how to access any remote learning sessions.
