During my time at university I have found a passion for creating historical costume for productions in addition to my love for decoration and embroidery. In the past three years, I have had the opportunity to make many costumes from different periods, including a full costume from the late 1700s which allowed me to show off my embroidery skills.
In my final year, I got the work on making costumes for the AUB Productions' Emilia! which gave me the opportunity to increase my knowledge and skills on the construction of menswear, making 16th century breeches/trunk hose, a doublet and a skirt.
For my final major project, I worked on constructing garments for the AUB Costume Store. I was tasked with making Regency costumes which included a typical Empire waist dress, as well as a 1797 open front gown.
Plans after degree
I plan to pursue a career in costume making for stage and screen.
