Poppy Joy
My work is driven by narrative to create interesting, conceptual worlds. Inspiration is drawn from all forms of literature from classical to contemporary texts. Storytelling is a key aspect of my practice and allows me to reimagine worlds in my own style. Utilising location that enhances the narrative of my images helps to immerse my models within the stories. From ruins to beach shoots and studio set builds, I aim to be experimental with my choice of location and use props, styling and makeup to elevate the vision.
I work closely with a team of people to help bring to life my ideas and make sure everything works harmoniously together. Through this, I aim to create work that resonates with my audience.
Plans after degree
After my degree I plan on looking into becoming an assistant at photography studios, to build my skills further.
