During my time at AUB, I have been able to learn so much about historical fashion and making an incredibly wide range of costumes. I have been able to develop my knowledge and passion for historical clothing and I look back on the development of my making skills with pride.

In autumn term of third year, I made a three-piece suit for Hurn Court Opera’s production of La Traviata. This was an incredibly challenging project but I was so glad to have a chance to make a properly tailored suit. For my Final Major Project, I worked on the AUB Productions shows Moonfleet and Grimm Tales. It was incredibly rewarding to see my costumes be on stage. For Moonfleet, I made a 1750s robe à la française, as I was eager to expand my womenswear experience. My favourite make from Grimm Tales was a ridgeline crinoline and jacket, for which I had no idea where to start but eventually managed to produce a result I was very proud of.

I am very excited for the future and extending my experience, skills and knowledge.
