My name is Cara Michelle, and I am a commercial photographer specialising in fashion, portraiture, and conceptual studio photography. Based in Bournemouth and graduating from BA (Hons) Commercial Photography at Arts University Bournemouth, my practice is centred around creating visually striking imagery that blends storytelling, set design, and carefully controlled lighting.

I am particularly drawn to projects that sit between the commercial and the conceptual. My work often explores themes of identity, femininity, performance and self-perception, using fashion as a visual language to communicate larger ideas. Working primarily within a studio environment allows me to build immersive worlds from the ground up, whether through physical set construction, colour-led lighting, or extensive post-production techniques.

After completing my degree, I plan to continue developing my career as a professional photographer, building my client base and establishing myself further within the fashion, portrait and commercial photography industries. I am particularly interested in creating creative, concept-driven work for brands, publications, and campaigns while continuing to develop my personal projects alongside client commissions.

Alongside working professionally, I intend to continue my studies at Arts University Bournemouth by undertaking a Master's degree in Photography. This will allow me to further refine my creative practice, expand my research and technical skills, and continue exploring the themes and visual approaches that have shaped my work throughout my undergraduate studies.
