Harnessing Artificial Intelligence in Fashion Garment Manufacture: Evaluating the Functionality of AI-Generated Designs
Burcu's project explores the transformative potential of AI and 3D modelling tools in redefining fashion production workflows. This work addresses inefficiencies in traditional production methods by integrating advanced AI-driven design processes and digital-to-physical transitions, focusing on optimising design accuracy, reducing material waste, and enhancing sustainability.
Specialising in womenswear, Burcu expanded her expertise to address challenges in children’s sizing for this collection. Using Size Stream body scanning technology, she conducted detailed body measurements to improve the fit and functionality. This research became the foundation for Burcu’s decision to establish LAJI, a company dedicated to offering this innovative workflow as a service to the fashion brands, manufacturers and individual designers.
By transforming her academic exploration into a practical business model, Burcu now provides AI-powered design, production and 3D garment modelling solutions that bridge traditional technique with cutting-edge technology, delivering efficient, sustainable, and inventive fashion processes to her clients.
