Sally Hope, Course Leader for Visual Communications and Joseph Warin, Technical Demonstrator, are the makers behind the unique Letterpress studio, part of the printing room facilities at AUB.
This much sought after workshop will explore the cross-over between old and modern visual communication tools, using abstract positioning of letterforms to understand how different forms of letters can visually compliment each other.
In this workshop you'll receive an introduction to the profession of visual communications and explore the design principles behind the discipline. You'll then get hands on to make your very own notebook with a visual graphics of your choice using the printing presses - a unique keepsake or a great Christmas gift!
This event is only open to Dorset professionals across creative, digital, manufacturing and engineering and will therefore be an opportunity to mingle with other maker folk. You'll also get to discuss how AUB could support your business with match-funding for new products or services, access to facilities and equipment and collaboration on new projects. You may even wish to host your own Meet the Maker in the future!
We'll supply the drinks and snacks, you just need to bring your best creative game.
We are only able to offer a limited amount of places for this workshop and expect this to be popular.
