Course: BA (Hons) Textiles

Graduated: 2022

BA (Hons) Textiles alumna Ella Averty is a printed textile designer and illustrator, currently working as a print designer in London.

During her time at AUB, she specialised in screen-printed repeat patterns for interior fabrics and wallpapers. With a love of hand painting and storytelling, her work often features colourful illustrated scenes inspired by local flora and fauna.

At her time of graduating from AUB, she exhibited her work at New Designers and won the Liberty Fabrics Studio award, through which she received an internship at the Liberty design studio in London. During this time, she helped to create prints for fashion fabrics to be sold in the iconic Liberty store, most notably as part of their two 150th Anniversary collections to be released in 2025. She then went on to become a junior print designer there, designing prints for the Liberty suppliers in the UAE.

Ella now works as a print designer at Cath Kidston, where she designs patterns and placement illustrations for fashion, accessories and homewares.
