This weekend, AUB Productions are performing 'Far from the Madding Crowd' at The Lighthouse, Poole!
The production is performed by final-year BA (Hons) Acting students, with costume and set design by BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design students and hair and make-up from BA (Hons) Make up and Media Performance students.
The play is an adaptation of the legendary tale by Thomas Hardy, set in rural Dorset. Far from the Madding Crowd was Hardy’s first success story, awarding him recognition as an accomplished writer. The piece resonates with his complex, eccentric characters who are passionate and often reckless.
The production has been adapted for the stage by Director, Kenneth Robertson (Senior Lecturer, BA (Hons) Acting).
