CLIMBUNITY, the burgeoning collective at the intersection of adventure sports and the arts, is proud to announce an exclusive private viewing of its latest exhibition.

Taking place on Monday 25 May 2026, at Ethicoco in Boscombe, the event offers an intimate first look at a showcase celebrating the vibrant culture of the climbing community.

Founded by Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) MA Photography graduates Gabriel Buca and Fin MacMillan, CLIMBUNITY began as a postgraduate project and has rapidly evolved into a vital network for local creatives.

Following successful previous showcases at The Project Climbing Centre and GATHER Gallery, this latest exhibition continues the mission of introducing the public to the world of climbing through photography, illustration, and mixed-media art.

“I started CLIMBUNITY to create a community where people could come together and create work, but also to have a place to show it at the end,” says Gabriel. “It’s about discovering these artists and sharing their amazing climbing stories, which helps bridge the gap between the sport and the wider public.”

Founded by fellow local climber, Johnny Tutton, Ethicoco is an artisan, bean-to-bar vegan chocolate company and coffee shop, offered CLIMBUNITY the ideal space to host a climbing exhibition.

Johnny, who also specialises in "yoga for climbers" workshops, designed to support performance through mobility and balance, says, “As a climber and yoga instructor, I’ve always seen the natural synergy between movement, mindfulness, and the climbing lifestyle.

“Hosting this exhibition at Ethicoco feels like the perfect way to bring those worlds together. Whether it’s through a yoga workshop focusing on mobility and recovery or through the incredible art on display here, it’s all about becoming a well-rounded climber and celebrating the community that makes this sport so special.”

The evening promises a complete immersion into bouldering culture, featuring an exclusive preview of new works from a diverse range of climbing creatives alongside live sets from local DJs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase original prints and enter a raffle, all while socialising with a unique community of artists and outdoor enthusiasts.

“Once you leave university, it’s easy to disconnect with the local creative scene,” Gabriel says. “CLIMBUNITY has built a wonderful network that ensures climbers and artists have a dedicated space to thrive together.”

The private viewing for CLIMBUNITY @ Ethicoco takes place on Monday 25 May (18.00–21.00).

While entry to the private viewing is free and open to all, a limited number of paid experience tickets are available via Eventbrite. These tickets include a free drink, a raffle entry, and an exclusive CLIMBUNITY sticker, with all proceeds directly supporting the exhibition’s future projects.
