Create your own handmade silver ring in just one day. This practical and creative workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of jewellery making, giving you the opportunity to design and craft a ring that’s personal to you.

Course information
Whether you’re drawn to the gentle movement of a spinner ring, the layered look of stacker rings, or the meaning behind an affirmation ring, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process using professional tools and techniques.
This hands-on workshop is designed to give you a focused and enjoyable introduction to working with silver. You’ll learn essential jewellery-making skills including measuring, forming, soldering and finishing, all within a supportive studio environment.
With guidance from your tutor, you’ll choose from a selection of ring styles and develop your design before bringing it to life.
- An introduction to jewellery making tools and equipment
- Measuring and sizing for rings
- Forming and shaping silver
- Basic soldering techniques
- Finishing and polishing your piece
- Creating either a spinner ring, stacker rings (set of three), or an affirmation ring
At the end of the course, you'll:
- Understand the basic principles of working with silver
- Be confident using key jewellery-making tools and techniques
- Have designed and created their own finished silver ring
- Gain insight into different ring styles and construction methods
On completion of the programme, you can request an official AUB Academy Certificate of Attendance.

Experience or qualifications required
There are no formal academic entry requirements or qualifications needed to attend this course. We only ask that you come with a passion for creativity and plenty of enthusiasm.

There are no additional costs for this workshop. Any additional materials and resources not listed below will be provided by AUB. We'll provide enough silver for you to make your ring of choice.
