Our courses
AUB offers a variety of postgraduate courses in a range of art, design, media and innovation disciplines, all taught on our creative campus.
- MA Animation Production – Explore and develop your animation interests and specialism (2D, 3D, stop-motion, computer-generated, or something else!) Work towards a final animated film, or a portfolio that could include character design, storyboarding or concept art.
- MA Creative Writing* – A brand-new course that offers a supportive space where you can develop your professional writing practice. You may discover new specialisms like screenwriting or nature writing, and even contribute to publications.
- MA Fashion Innovation – You will explore digital technologies and understand their role in the fashion industry. Learn to question existing practices and discover new ways of working.
- MA Fine Art – This practical course welcomes curious students from all backgrounds, inviting you to find an artistic grounding in whatever their practice is.
- MA Graphic Design – Whether you specialise in branding, typography, publishing, user-centred design or something more unusual, this course lets you challenge assumptions about graphic design and communication, and develop your practice from there.
- MA Historical Costume – Sharpen your practical and research skills in historical costume. You'll produce work in creative directions such as theatre and film, culture and heritage.
- MA Illustration – This course allows you to experiment with your illustrative practice, developing your niche in an evolving market, and building towards publication and exhibition opportunities.
- MA Innovation and Creative Entrepreneurship – Do you want to create change? This new course will give you the skills and confidence to launch your own innovative projects and respond to real-world issues.
- MA Painting – You will understand what painting in the 21st century can be, do and say. Make discoveries and take risks while developing your professional painting practice.
- MA Photography – Advance your photographic practice within a range of specialisms, including advertising, documentary, editorial, fashion, portrait and fine art.
- MA User Experience (UX/UI)* – This brand-new course is for anyone wanting to strengthen their understanding of user-centred design, and explore and shape the future of digital experience.
- MA Visual Effects and Photorealistic Computer Graphics – Taught by ARTFX, a top creative school renowned in the industry for its production excellence within VFX, you will learn using the same workflows and tools employed by major production studios.
- Master of Architecture (Part 2 RIBA/ARB) – Experiment with new approaches to architecture. Your projects will reflect your own passions and views, and respond to current social, cultural and environmental issues.

Junle Li is a China representative and Student Support Officer for AUB, based in Zhuhai, Guangdong.
Junle represents AUB across Mainland China, supporting students, parents, and partners. He provides guidance on applications, creative portfolio preparation, and events, while helping build meaningful connections between AUB and China’s creative education community.
