During my time at AUB, I have been lucky to experience a wide array of different projects, from making a tailored coat to supervising a show of 18 dancers on my own. I have definitely found a love for supervision, and especially Head of Running Wardrobe along the way, that is definitely what I lean more towards in my professional life, though my past sewing experiences have truly laid an excellent foundation to make me very handy backstage when a costume inevitably gets ripped!

Here are some images showing me hard at work backstage in my natural habitat, helping the actors with anything they may need and preparing for quick changes. I have also attached a couple of my bibles to give a deeper insight into the work that goes on as a supervisor.

My days are filled with liaising with actors and designers, checking in on how everyone is getting on from project to project. That is probably the most valuable thing AUB has taught me – the importance of good communication skills and patience that is also vital in this industry too. In summary, I am excited for the next chapter of my life thanks to AUB!

Plans after degree

I plan to continue the show that I am working on at the moment as a costume supervisor. The production is called Moonlight – The Phillip Lynott Enigma. Its home base is Dublin for the minute, which is lovely. I am excited to see where this show takes me and what other experiences come up along the way.
