Connecting the past lives of Poole to today’s community, enriching the cultural links of the area, bridging heritage pathways and lost routes through a contemporary exhibition at the heart of the old town.
We’re using our streets all wrong! High streets are not made for the people inhabiting them with their values and contexts missed in communities across the UK, weakening cultural and historical connections of these areas.
Within this project, we aim to liberate urban landscapes around the Guildhall, in the heart of the town geographically and historically, representing and uplifting these contexts through exhibition and community playable spaces. Lost heritage routes across the town are rediscovered, weaving into the facility pulling people through the building as they experience the past lives of the town through immersive exhibition, taking a walk in the shoes of those before. This exhibition connects the visitors spatially and temporally along the timeline of Poole.
