This project explores gardens and growth through Impressionist-inspired imagery and textile practices, questioning the hierarchy between fine art and craft. By combining digitally-printed and hand-painted wallpapers with references to embroidery, it highlights the undervaluation of feminised labour and examines how contemporary design can challenge traditional distinctions between art, decoration and gendered making.

I chose a hotel and spa context to create a calming, immersive environment where themes of growth, nature and sensory experience enhance wellbeing while showcasing the decorative and conceptual value of textile-inspired design.

After university, I would like to do freelance work in different areas of the textile industry to gain more experience.
