Read Me Wrong (2026) explores identity as a complex and fluid negotiation between inner experience and outward perception. As poetry articulates the vulnerabilities of the inner self, it simultaneously navigates the journey that emotion goes through as it reaches the external world. This translation is characterised through spatial, architectural and compositional restriction, and creates tension between emotive language and emotionally drained visuals. This piece explores the disparate co-existence of conflicting identities.

Do I Look Like I Feel? exists as the visual representation of Read Me Wrong. Through the pointillist style of drawing and missing squares within the image, it uses absence to suggest the presence of the unknown. As identity is constantly shifting and existing on multiple planes, we will never have the full understanding of an identity – this piece considers what exists in those gaps and acknowledges the presence of absence through both inner and outer perception.

I plan to apply for graduate jobs and internships. I am also interested in artist residencies around Europe. I'm in the process of putting together applications for Master's degrees in Contemporary Art Practice and Curation and Politics in London for 2027 start.
