This project explores the worlds of circus and theatre, both of which hold strong personal meaning and have shaped my creative interests from a young age. Growing up, I spent many years dancing and regularly visiting the theatre with my family. These experiences created a lasting emotional connection to performance spaces, stage design, lighting, costume and the atmosphere of theatrical environments. For me, theatre represents comfort, creativity, immersion and a temporary escape from everyday routines. These qualities continue to influence the way I approach interior design and the types of spaces I aim to create.

Through this project, I translated this passion into the design of a boutique hotel lobby and bar that feels immersive, playful and emotionally engaging. Inspired by the dramatic nature of circus and theatre, the space combines rich textures, layered lighting, bold colours and carefully-curated spatial experiences to encourage curiosity and interaction. I wanted guests to feel as though they were stepping into a theatrical set, where every detail contributes to a sense of atmosphere and storytelling.

The project also explores how hospitality interiors can create memorable emotional experiences beyond simple functionality. By drawing on themes of performance, movement and escapism, the design aims to blur the boundary between reality and fantasy while maintaining a welcoming and luxurious environment. Ultimately, this project reflects both my personal experiences and my ambition to design interiors that connect with people emotionally and leave a lasting impression.
