Lizzie Hodge

I love all things performance design and have embraced every aspect of this course. I am pleased to have been awarded the Jean Hunnisett award for Costume Design while at AUB.

Drag Politics

My personal project, Drag Politics, was centred around the concept of politicians in drag, turning their political blunders and policies into flamboyant drag costumes, presented in the style of exquisite corpse – letting the audience decide which combination they want. This project was very experimental, exploring a more childlike illustrative style.

I've worked on two graduation films, costume designing Paper Tiger and co-designing Water into Wine. These experiences I am very grateful for and I am eager to explore costume within the film and TV industry more. I also had the opportunity to design my final exhibition alongside Adrien Robinson, combining the works from four courses into one themed exhibition. This was such a valuable experience, combining my love for set design with the practicalities of presenting a professional exhibition to show off the best of the courses involved.

Plans after degree

After completing my degree, I plan to look for work in areas of film and theatre, pursuing costume jobs to continue my passion.
