My work centres on the relationship between nature, materiality and contemporary interior design, with a particular focus on print and surface exploration. 

Hyompora is a textile and interior collection inspired by wetlands and the wider themes of wetland conservation. Drawn to the quiet complexity of these environments, I wanted this project to celebrate the textures, colours and ecological importance of these landscapes while reflecting my own long-standing connection to the natural world.

As a print specialist, my practice combines both digital and hand processes, allowing me to build layered, atmospheric surfaces that echo the depth found in wetland habitats. Throughout this collection, I experimented with a range of techniques including screen printing, digital print and fabric dyeing, alongside more exploratory methods that push my work beyond traditional textiles.

Shibori became a key influence within the project due to its deep-rooted connection to water, movement and organic patterning. Its sculptural, nature-led approach aligned seamlessly with my theme and offered a way to translate fluid, shifting environments into tactile textile outcomes. Alongside this, I introduced ceramics to create a dialogue between hard and soft surfaces within an interior context. Working with clay allowed me to explore form, texture and natural materiality in a new way, resulting in unique pieces that complement the textile elements of the collection.

Hyompora reflects my commitment to environmentally informed design, material experimentation and the creation of immersive, nature-driven interior spaces.

Working in industry and traveling to build on my skills and portfolio. I hope to one day run my own business where I can design and make things.
