Salt of the Earth
This collection translates the layers and texture of natural features found along the UK’s Jurassic Coast into wearable garments. Structural shapes found in rocks and ammonites have directly informed prints and textural appliqués.
The overarching inspiration for many of the garments in my collection, Salt of the Earth, including the knitted dress, cropped gilet, and textured dress, is the collapsed cliffs at Lulworth Cove, where hundreds of years worth of rock and sediment are exposed, displaying a variation of natural colours, framed on one side by grass and the other by the sea and sky.
