My final project explores the idea of what it means to be quintessentially British, drawing inspiration from the rich beauty of British florals and natural landscapes. The project focuses on creating an interiors collection that celebrates traditional British aesthetics while incorporating contemporary design techniques. Through a combination of colour, texture and pattern, the collection reflects themes of heritage, colour and the natural environment.

To develop the collection, I experimented with a wide range of processes and materials, allowing me to create layered and detailed surface designs. Techniques used throughout the project include screenprinting, laser cutting, UV printing and hand painting to create a unique and interesting final collection. By combining both digital and hand methods, I aimed to combine detailed processes with more expressive, handmade elements, giving each sample its own individual look and layered feel.

This project has allowed me to explore innovative textile applications within interior design while refining my creative identity as a designer. The final collection showcases my passion for print, colour and my interpretations of British culture and nature.

Plans after degree

I intend to gain as much industry experience as possible and continue developing my skills within interior and textiles design. I am currently actively searching for opportunities within the interior design industry, where I hope to learn from professionals and further build my creative and technical knowledge. In the future, I would love to start my own interior design company and create spaces and collections that reflect my creativity and passion for design.
