Inspired by Han Kang’s The Vegetarian, my first sculpture reflects the protagonist’s fragile mental state, incorporating symbolic elements from the novel. Designed as a concept model for a book cover, it depicts her ultimate escape from violence through metamorphosis.
Inspired by the continuous surface and twisting geometry of a Möbius strip, my second, conceptual model reimagines it as a dynamic playground. The flowing form incorporates slides, climbing frames, and interconnected pathways, encouraging play and exploration. Constructed from wood to mimic natural logs, the design reinforces the idea of a “natural playground” that blends with its environment.
