Fragile Beauty

This collection is inspired by elements of nature which aren't always appreciated or seen in a beautiful light such as deconstructed plants, withered florals and natural structures which hold interesting shapes as they decompose or weather through the seasons.

This collection celebrates the importance of nature in all ways it may appear through a vibrant colour palette for the Spring/Summer women's runway. Consisting of bold, playful hand and digital prints, I have captured expressive marks and textures of my hand-drawn motifs through techniques such as screen separation, devore and digitally printed methods using distortion and pixelation. My collection holds movement and fragility through the lightweight fabrics within to enhance the movement of my designs but also to add a sense of delicacy. I have taken inspiration from designers such as Collina Strada and Shuting Qiu.

Plans after degree

After university, I am planning to apply for work in fashion print design studios in London to gain further experience within the printed textiles industry. I inspire to work with successful fashion houses/brands to create printed textiles and to expand my knowledge and skills within digital print processes.
