Deniz Durukan

I like to define myself as a creative problem solver, passionate about creating designs that are both fun, meaningful and built on storytelling and strategy. I believe that design can be used as a tool for good and can make people care about complex issues and brands that want to make a positive impact on individuals and the communities around us. That is why for my graduate project I wanted to create a campaign focused on circular fashion and fashion sustainability.

Wear the Change

This is an interactive Instagram campaign that helps Gen Z turn environmental concern into action through weekly challenges. It shows that starting sustainable fashion habits don’t require buying better, secondhand or have to be expensive and overwhelming to start and maintain.

Change can start with what you already own, right in your own closet. With handcrafted visuals using paper rips and halftone stop-motion, the campaign makes habits like rewearing, swapping, mending, and upcycling feel fun, accessible, and impactful. Even small, imperfect actions can add up to real change when made part of everyday life.

Plans after degree

I will be moving to London to pursue a postgraduate degree at UAL – London College of Communication for graphic branding and identity design, with the aspiration of becoming a brand designer in the future
